A fantastic place to grab a nice bite to eat whilst sheltering from the wild weather. We sat in the extended part of the restaurant with high & low seating and views of the coastline to the rear of the lighthouse keepers building. This is beside the gift shop where you can buy trinkets, locally produced photographs and tickets for the tours. Depending on the season or weather there might be delays getting on a tour but it's definitely worth doing it at least once when you're down that far. There are clean, well lit toilets down the corridor.

Nothing beats hot food and drinks in a gloomy, windy day. We stopped for seafood chowder, goujons and chips. Chowder came recommended by the tour guide John. It was thick, full of seafood including jumbo prawns. Chips were good. Sit in the conservatory, there is a row of high tables that have a great view of the dramatic seas.

Stopped for breakfast here with 2 children. The breakfast was so good and a week later we are still talking about it, nicest full Irish we have ever had. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Such a lovely establishment and I would highly recommend, will definitely return purely for the breakfast alone!

Fish had a lovely light batter. Busy at 3 on a Sunday but good service. Enough variety for a family of 5 hungry people. Reasonably priced.

Food was over salted and the cod still had bones in it but overall was appetising. The view from the family tables looking out the window towards the sea is very pretty but has people walking back and forth in front of the window, staring inside. Its like an invasion of my privacy. I did appreciate the colouring pages though.

Delicious scone and tea in a pleasantly warm slightly chaotic space.
